Part of the magic of debate is that it provides learners with a platform to unpack and then present topics that would often be considered too complex for their age level. With effective coaching, we find that even 5th graders are able to advocate for the pros and cons of universal healthcare, nuclear energy and dozens of other fascinating topics. Sparking curiosity has the power to allow learners to develop their talents.

Through guided and judged Public Forum, Parliamentary and Policy Debate rounds, we help guide debaters from fundamentals of argumentation all the way to advanced tournament tactics.

When an idea is really being put on trial in a competitive but also encouraging team environment, students are empowered to develop talents they didn’t even realize they had. We want students immersed in the topics they’re debating.

Our students have success at the highest levels of competitive debate, with past students being placing first in the NSDA Public Forum Nationals and the Policy TOC (“Tournament of Champions”).
